                            HADIZA SHARDOW (1915-1977)

                           (aka. AUNTIE INAKO)

 

 

 

           Daughter of Chief Suleiman Shardow and

           Meimuna (Nma Mai Masa).

           She was born in Accra in 1915 and died on

           the 21st of May 1977

 

 

 

                                        CHILDREN:

 

       1. Naana ( Aisha) born in 1933. Died young.

       Was run over by a car near the General Post Office Accra.

                           (aka. Mamman Salisu)

 

Dr. Shardow was born in Accra in 1935. On leaving High School in 1957,

he worked  at the Ministry Of Education (Foreign Language Division)

while teaching part-time at the Ghana Young Pioneers. Between 1958

and 1960, he attended Extra-mural Studies at the University of Ghana,

and had the privilege of traveling to Germany, Sweden and Finland in

the summer of 1960 under the auspices of The International Youth

Organization. 

In 1963, Dr. Shardow obtained a scholarship to study at the Moscow

University and the Lemberg (Lvov) State Medical Institute, in the Soviet

Union. He graduated in General Medicine in 1969. Until he retired in 2005,

he has been practicing medicine in the United Kingdom.

He got married to Marie Jane Kaslee on the 5th of May 1982.
